New member Mirdanda Moulton walked off with an impressive victory in the latest of our one-off tournaments.
Miranda started playing and joined the club recently but beat John Horton in the final in the event which attracted 16 players, including new members Carl Stephens and Richard Kuby.
The win completes a good run for the Moulton family, with dad Paul reaching the final of the UK Open a couple of weeks ago.
Andy Debenham beat Huu Chi Tran in the consolation final, with Martin Barkwill and Richard sharing the spoils in the last chance.
We hope to have another one-day event in December/January. The next club night upstairs at the Old George in Newcastle is on Tuesday, September 19, with the Newcastle Open being held over the weekend of October 6-8.
