Our latest one-day event was held at another new venue for the club.
Twelve members took part in the event at the Gateshead Bowling Club where we will be holding the Friday freeroll on the eve of the Newcastle Open in October.
Mike Snowdon won the main event in the final against Paul Moulton. Dave Gallagher prevailed over Andy Debenham in the consolation final, with Rikki Blythe beating fellow new member Huu Chi Tran in the last chance.
The event was a good opportunity to hold a “dry run” for the freeroll and it proved a perfect venue, with enough food to feed the 5,000. We will be holding another one-day event on Saturday, September 9.
